How does it work?
As your child drinks water, the virtual pet featured on his or her bottle grows, collects treasures, and explores an underwater world of adventure called the “Gululu Universe.” Information about hydration goals and status is then sent to the Gululu App. Drinking data is uploaded through the cloud through paired wifi networks. You can synch the Gululu bottle with as many networks as you like, so you get your child’s updates whether at home or in the office.
How does Gululu connect to my app?
The Gululu Interactive Bottle connects to the connected app via Wi-Fi.
Is the App free?
Yes, the app is totally free. However, you will need a bottle to connect to the App to serve the whole purpose.
Does the App work for Android and iPhone?
Yes, the app will work for both Android and iPhone.
Is the App ready for download?
When you receive your bottle, you will be able to download the Gululu App from both Apple Store and Google Play.
How is the Gululu bottle charged?
The Gululu Interactive Bottle can be charged wirelessly via Wi-Fi once the bottle is placed on the charging dock. Three hours of charging provides two to three days of ordinary use or four to five days of standby.
Is it dishwasher/freezer/microwave safe?
As we have an electronic screen and components, it is not recommended to put the Gululu Interactive Bottle into dishwater, freezer, or microwave, as this may cause injury or permanent damage to the bottle’s functionalities.
How many ounces / milliliters of liquid does the bottle hold?
13.5oz / 400ml
What is the size of the Gululu Interactive Bottle?
The Gululu Interactive Bottle is 200mm high and 76mm wide.
Is the bottle BPA Free?
Of course! The Gululu Interactive Bottle is 100% BPA FREE and complies with U.S. FDA standards (excluding the wireless charging dock).
Is there a straw?
No, the Gululu Interactive Bottle does not use a straw but has a spout specially designed for kids.
Is Gululu waterproof or shatterproof?
Yes, our Gululu Interactive bottle is waterproof and shatterproof from a fall from a height up to one meter high.
How do the touch sensor panels work?
Children can navigate between menu options and interact with other Gululu users by sliding their palms along the touch sensor areas on the side of the bottle.
Does Gululu have a touch screen?
No, the screen is not a touch screen as a touch screen cannot work well with water. However, there are touch sensor panles on the side of bottle, and motion sensors embedded inside the bottle that give similar functionality to a touch screen.
When will my Gululu bottle be shipped?
We’re mass production ready for hardware and currently running a pilot user program for us to fine-tune our software and app. We hope to start shipping Gululu to some of the backers right after the campaign period. We’ll keep you updated regarding our project milestones on Kickstarter/Facebook/Twitter and through newsletters.
Can you ship to different countries?
We will ship Gululu Interactive Bottles worldwide, with the exception of Republic of South Sudan, Netherlands Antilles, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, Niue, Wallis and Futuna, Pitcairn Islands, Fiji, Saint Helena, Réunion, Western Sahara, Sao Tome and Principe, Archipelago of the Azores, Madeira, Faroe Islands, Eritrea and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Please note that you may be responsible for duties, fees, and taxes applicable in your region.
How long is the warranty?
A limited one-year repair warranty is given for defective or damaged products. Shipping charges, taxes, or repairing cost may occur.

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
